Atlas Strategies

Early Atlas works for SSF

Atlas Strategy Description

For the Pathing Progression I usually will take Kirac & Mapping Nodes on the Left & Right before going north to the Shrines. Shrines will be the last thing I pickup

This starting atlas focuses on a few key mechanics. Kirac who helps sell us maps for map completion & finding Unique Maps
Higher Map Drop Chance. This helps acquire maps easier which lets us go up in map tier.
Jun – We take a few starting nodes here to help get some beginner gear while also providing fantastic exeperience.
Shrines – I usually take this towards the end of this atlas, it’s to help speed up map clear & also adds a lot of fun to maps due to our Hinekora Explosions.
This atlas is a great template to branch into other mechanics such as

Harvest
Expedition
Ritual
Blight
Strongboxes

Expediton & Harvest

Atlas Strategy Description

This atlas Focuses Primarily on Harvest with Crop Rotation & Expedition with Extreme Archaeology (big boom)

If you have limited points you can absolutely drop Kirac & Shrine Nodes. Or choose to focus on Harvest OR Expedition rather than both
Harvest – Look at the trade website and see which color is worth more. Blue | Purple | Yellow. Towards mid/end league Yellow is usually worth the most.
With Crop Roation you want to focus on the colors you don’t want to buff the colors you do. Here’s an Example. You walk into a 4 Plot Harvest and you see these colors
Blue-Yellow Blue-Blue Blue-Purple Yellow-Yellow
In this instance since if yellow is the most expensive first do your 2 blue plots, then 1 Purple (because it gets buffed by the blue and gets a chance to give decent life force. then continue to do the yellow with the most life force (the one with the higher number in light blue text)

Expedition. For Expedtion there are 2 key mods to avoid. “monsters have 100% Chance to Avoid Ignite & Monsters Immune to Fire” These will brick your explode chains.
During early gearing you should be weary of mods like “mobs do bonus Chaos Damage, Mobs Heal %Life over x second”

SSF Early Atlas - Map Sustain/Blight/Ritual

Atlas Strategy Description

For the first tree I like to maximize the potential for map drops, as well as farming oils from Blight. I finish off with Ritual because I simply enjoy the mechanic.

  • Allocate points for more map drop chance, as well as higher map tier and Kirac missions. Take “Shaping the Skies” and “Shaping the Mountains” before “Shaping the World”.
  • Next we path up to “Unwavering Vision” to receive 20 additional points. We now start grabbing all the Blight nodes, in this order: “Fungal Bloom”, “Immune Respone”, “Templar Ingenuity”, “Epidemiology”, “Sturdy Construction”, and finally “Fungal Horizons”. This last node gives the possibility for maps found to drop as blighted maps for 60 seconds after finishing a Blight, so make sure to capitalize on that.
  • Now as you get closer to atlas completion, finish off points for Ritual by grabbing these nodes: “Sacred Lands”, “Occult Devotion”, “Profitable Prayers”, “Flexible Dogma”, and “Answered Appeals”.

SSF Harvest/Essence/Harby/Ores

Atlas Strategy Description

For the second tree I like to focus on farming crafting materials for gear. At this point you should also have your first two voidstones.

  • Harvest provides us with lifeforce that can be used for crafting. Yellow is typically the crop we want to target, because it can be used for rolling physical modifiers on our weapon. Purple is also good for rolling life modifiers on gear.
  • Essences can be spammed on gear to deterministically get a modifer you want. Contempt essences guarantee flat phys on our weapon. We can also use blue lifeforce to convert essences to other types.
  • The Harbringer mechanic can be used to farm annulment orbs which are very powerful (yet a bit of a gamba) for crafting. You can also get fracturing shards (or orbs) which are very powerful in meta crafting.
  • Lastly, we round out the tree by grabbing all the ore nodes. We should now be sending ships with crops out for tattoos and currency, and loading ore is just an extra bonus.

SSF Destructive Play

Atlas Strategy Description

For the last tree we now pivot to generating as many boss fragment maps as possible, so we can get our last two voidstones.

  • Destructive Play works by generating extra additional map bosses based on how much of the map you’ve cleared. So you’ll want to kill all mobs before fighting the map boss to maximize additional spawns. Also, Maven has to witness the fight, so if you run a map she’s already witnessed, no extra bosses will spawn.
  • A common strategy is to run a map that has intermission phases during the boss fight, so you can kill the extra bosses and leave without killing the original map boss. This guarantees Maven didn’t witness the fight, so you can run the same map over and over. Silo is good for this.
  • We also take shrines on this atlas to just give us nice bonuses to speed through the maps quicker.
